Grotto Wall, Sacred Heart Church
This is located to the left hand side of the main entrance to the church H4472 : The four hill churches (Sacret Heart RC), Omagh and it is slightly curved on plan. This is because in the mid 1940's men had to carry coke for the boiler house past the corner , so the Parish Priest at the time took his walking stick to measure wide enough for a horse and cart to pass; also to the left hand side on the wall, there is a stone with a faded inscription and the digits for the year 1117. see H4472 : Ancient stone, Grotto Wall
