Patcham Windmill
Patcham Windmill
Sometimes known as Waterhall Windmill after the valley it overlooks. The last working windmill to built in Sussex in 1885 it remained a working mill until 1924. Since then it has been converted into a residence. This view looks down Green Ridge, a public open space, towards the mill with the Downs beyond carpeted by snow that fell 48 hours previously. An early dog walker is the only other hardy soul out just under ten minutes beyond sunrise.
