TQ2350 : Reigate Heath Mill

taken 19 years ago, near to Buckland, Surrey, England

Reigate Heath Mill
Reigate Heath Mill
The Post Mill on Reigate Heath was built about 1765, and it ceased to grind about one hundred years later. It is the only windmill in the country to have been consecrated as a place of worship.
The redbrick clubhouse of Reigate Heath Golf Club is on the right. Established in 1895, the course plays nine holes and mostly follows the original layout.
