Doo Lough Pass
The plaque on the stone structure on the right displays the legend "Dhu Lough Pass Road - constructed by the Congested Districts Board of Ireland". The road was built in 1896 - far too late for the hundreds of the "Hungry Poor" who perished here whilst seeking food during the Famine.
