Two pubs - and a Health Centre
Two pubs - and a Health Centre
Our landscape and environment are going through a constant change. In 2003 when this picture was taken the "Prince of Wales" stood next to "Jimmy's". Since then The "Prince" has undergone a major refurbishment and a name change - it is now "The Poacher". Bearing the date 1784, "Jimmy's", the former Baptist Chapel which is one of the town's oldest surviving buildings has also undergone some changes. A new higher fence has been erected and the bright blue paint has been replaced by a more subdued cream colour. The Health Centre on the right of the picture is a much newer building but in time that too will no doubt undergo some changes too.
