Stockton Brook
Even when this picture was taken in 1993 the railway from Stoke on Trent to Leekbrook Junction and the Caldon quarries was out of use. Here it crosses the Caldon Canal and one of the locks can just be seen to the right of the overbridge on the foreground. Even today, 2007, the railway is still technically mothballed rather than abandoned as various schemes often appear for reactivating the line for quarry traffic and/or connecting with the Churnett Valley Railway.
