SH5960 : Pen Garrett Mess Room
near to Dinorwig, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Pen Garrett Mess Room
I first saw this view over 20 years ago, it has not changed. I returned in 2008 and the coats and boots of the quarrymen still await their owners return to work. The Dinorwic quarries closed in 1969, these coats have been hanging from the pegs on this wall for 39 years. I think Quarry (mothballed) is a most suitable Primary Geographic Category.
