This is a closer view of the little covered SK2500 : Gazebo on top of old pit shafts on the site of the former Birch Coppice Colliery. The small concrete lump seen behind & just to the left of the structure is one of two monuments to capped shafts. (see SK2500 : Cap : Birch Coppice No.1 Shaft & SK2500 : Cap : Birch Coppice No.2 Shaft)
