Birmingham University estates and power house complex
The big brick building with the adjoining brick chimney housed water tube boilers when I visited it in the 1980s. This was then reconstructed with a steam injected gas turbine driving an alternator and a heat recovery steam generator to supply heat to the university. I also saw at least one packaged boiler (a Robey Babcock I think) going in. There is now a new extension with a visible package boiler that is the mother of package boilers (and space for another at least). I am classifying this as a power station.
