Old quarry, Bramley Fall Park
The lower part of Bramley Fall Park has many old small scale quarry workings like this. The hard sandstone, known as Bramley Falls stone was quarried as long ago as the 12th century when it was used to build Kirkstall Abbey just across the River Aire.
