Forrabury and Minster: old lime kiln, Boscastle
A limekiln has stood here 'or hereabouts' for over two hundred years. A sale in Bodmin in 1792 included the Boscastle kiln, together with the Sun Dial, stabling and a cellar. The Sun Dial was no doubt a vanished inn. Farmers from as far away as Davidstow came to Boscastle for their lime. [Source: Ken Isham. Lime Kilns and Limeburners in Cornwall. An Introduction.
