Triumph Renown - These vehicles were introduced as a luxurious up-market saloon. They were built from 1949 to 1954. In 1951 the price tag was £1285. Top speed was 75mph.
The Standard Triumph factory was here LinkExternal link occupying the southern half of SP3078 LinkExternal link now replaced by Coventry Business Park, in which there is now a Renown Avenue. There is also a Herald Avenue, a Vanguard Avenue, a Dolomite Avenue, a Toledo Close and a Gloria monument.
