This memorial is dedicated to the 4000 Police Officers killed in by criminal acts. It was designed by lord Norman Foster and consists of a black block (which actually covers a ventilation shaft)inscribed by a police badge and holding a book of remembrance. The second element is a blue glass block (reminiscent of the monolith from 2001 A Space Oddissy)
