SN6195 : Aberdyfi moorings
near to Aberdovey, Gwynedd, Great Britain

Aberdyfi moorings
The river Dyfi runs swiftly close inshore at high tide, its course marked by a line of foam. See how the boats tug at their moorings. Beyond them the Dfyi estuary and mountains of Ceredigion.
When they wash a car in Aberdyfi they don't mess about. However, our hero, whose head can just be seen by the outboard motor, detached the boat from the trailer, rescued it from the swift current and beached it, then climbed into the car and drove it back up the beach with water pouring from all the doors.
The performance was worthy of a round of applause from the spectators crowding the promenade.
