There are still quite a number of cattle gates on the minor roads of Mid-Wales, where installing cattle-grids is not thought to be cost-effective. This one is particularly awkwardly located, on a blind bend and quite a steep hill. You need to have confidence in your hand-brake if you don't wish to switch your engine off!
