This portrait stone inscribed Memento Mori (remember death) is located in the small graveyard near Longnewton. The inscription on the back reads:-

HEAR LYES JOHN
WHITE LAWFULL SON
TO PATRICK WHITE TENNENT
IN LONGNEUTON WHO DIED
JUNE THE 18TH DAY 1736
AGED 13 YEARS
ALSO ANDREW WHITE
WHO DIED OCT 7TH 1712
IN THE 15TH YEAR OF HIS AGE
