Ruined railway bridge
Ruined railway bridge
Deep in woodland a short distance from the old bridge that carried the railway across the road next to Beulah chapel is the remaining masonry of another railway bridge, this one across the Afon Glan-rhyd at its confluence with the Afon Anghof. It must have been something of an engineering feat to construct both these bridges and the associated embankment in order to bring the line through this swampy valley -- and all this is forgotten and lost to view now.
