Beach front
At the foot of the shingle beach there is a small runnel draining eastwards at the edge of the wave-rippled sands. The pale-grey colour of the shingle is due to its being composed of the local limestone, which is very pure and light in colour on abraded surfaces. Walkers on the North Wales Path can just be seen in their brightly-coloured jackets.
