Rockmoor Pond, near Littledown
The small pond is entirely within Hampshire but is very close to the boundaries of Berkshire and Wiltshire. Half the pond is covered with duckweed which served to show that the water there was rotating gently in an anti-clockwise direction. There was no obviously reason for this and our collective knowledge of hydro-dynamics was insufficient to enable us to decide the physics underlying the phenomenon.
