Thornseat Lodge Tower
Thornseat Lodge Tower
Two years on from Photo 171059 ... Thornseat Lodge is still standing and even more dilapidated! Bygones of Bradfield Volume II advises that the House was built during the Crimean War (1853-56) by Sydney Jessop for his gamekeeper. It was later used as a Shooting Lodge and a Week-End retreat. Latterly it was bought by Sheffield Council and used as a Children's Home. SK2392 : Thornseat Lodge SK2392 : Thornseat Lodge Entrance Gate
