Ringle Crouch Green Mill

An unusual five sweep smock mill. The original mill was built in 1844, replacing an earlier windmill. It finished working in 1912, and fell into disrepair. The mill was taken down to the brick base in 1945.

In 1987 a replica was built to be converted to a dwelling. The sails produce electricity.
